Happy Mondays Colour Palette

If the Hacienda was the building, the Happy Mondays were the chaos inside it. Shaun Ryder, Bez, and the Madchester scene brought a colour palette that was loose, loud, and slightly unhinged: pill-shaped yellows, rave purples, Bez's orange energy, and the kind of green that only makes sense at 4am. This is not a refined palette. It is a party. For festival brands, music projects, streetwear, youth culture, and anything that refuses to take itself seriously.

Usage guidance

Pill Yellow leads the charge, bright, attention-grabbing, and impossible to ignore. Use it for headlines and primary actions. Bez Orange brings the energy for secondary buttons, hover states, and supporting elements. Rave Purple adds depth for accents, badges, and feature highlights. Madchester Green works for success states, tags, and secondary accents. Shaun's Black grounds everything in text and borders. This palette works best when it feels slightly chaotic. Do not over-organise it.
